Why join calm in the city yoga?
Classes are by invitation for you to practice to how your body feels for you on any one given day. I am a believer in listening to body, mind and breath, paying heed to what they are telling you and never reaching or pushing yourself beyond your capabilities. I also believe in challenging ourselves and not shying away from aspects of the physical and spiritual practice we may rather avoid. You do not need to be fit, flexible or strong to practice the physical (asana) element of Yoga, these are some of the side effects that happen with ongoing practice! Whatever stage of practice you are in, be it a total beginner or an experienced Yogin, I aim to meet you where you are to support and develop your practice.
Classes are mainly Hatha Yoga Style, with a focus on building strength and mobility as well as breathing techniques and relaxation. I also offer Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra & Yoga Nada sessions and have a keen interest in Yoga for Women.
Located in Norwich, Norfolk and on-line, I take inspiration from the seasons as we experience them here in the UK and am very influenced by the Celtic Wheel of the Year and weave this magic through my classes, events and workshops.
I aim to create a friendly and welcoming environment for you to practice in. People often describe the classes as being like their own small communities and I like to think of them like that too. Classes are fun, challenging, inclusive and accessible.
Except at The Yoga Tree Studio in Norwich, no equipment can be provided, so please bring your own mat, x 2 yoga bricks, x 1 yoga block, x 1 yoga belt, a lightweight blanket and any other equipment you require to class. Please book to secure your place as spaces are limited in most venues. Drop ins are welcome where space is available.
If finances are tight, please do get in touch as I offer discounted and energy exchange places. I would hate for anyone to miss out because of finances; no questions, no judgement, only a desire to ensure you can access what ever you need to support you.

Monday - The Yoga Hour; 12.15-1.15pm, In Person @ The Yoga Tree, Norwich - £9.00 per class. No classes on Bank Holiday Mondays (some special pop up classes do happen, check the classes tab)
Monday - Go with the Flow; 7.30-8.45pm, In Person @ Mulbarton Village Hall, Mulbarton, Norwich - £10.00 per class. No classes on Bank Holiday Mondays (some special pop up classes do happen, check the classes tab)
Wednesday - Hatha Yoga 108; 7-8.15pm, In Person @ Trinity Church, Thorpe Marriott, Norwich - £10.00 per class.
Second Sunday of the month - Sunday Soundbath; 2-3pm - In Person @ The Yoga Tree, Norwich - £14.00 per session

ONE-to-ONE, group & corporate sessions
tailored to your individual needs
I offer one-to-one tuition from The Yoga Tree Studio in Central Norwich or in the comfort of your own home if suitable, as well as online via Zoom. One-to-One tuition allows you to comfortably begin or return to your Yoga journey; you will have the opportunity to explore and deepen your Yoga practice under the sole guidance of myself, you set the intention of your own class and ask questions as they arise. I am also qualified to teach Yoga for Cancer, so you can be assured that if you have a Cancer diagnosis and wish to work 1:1 in a therapeutic way, you can be assured that I am skilled and knowledgeable to support you in your practice.
Below are just some examples of areas that can be explored in one-to-one tuition:
A beginners introduction to Yoga, giving you the foundations with which to take to future classes.
The creation of a home practice which you can practice regularly and for free in the comfort of your own home, confident in your alignment and with the understanding of what you are doing and why.
The opportunity to better understand your own mind and body through Yoga, deepening your practice and allowing you to gain more from your regular Yoga class.
A time to work on specifics; whether it be working towards a particular goal and using Yoga in conjunction with other forms of fitness or using Yoga as Therapy for specific conditions.
Each one-to-one session lasts for 1hr and prices start from £40.00, please contact me for further details.
I also offer group classes which could be a corporate event, for a special occasion such as a hen party or pre-wedding day session or a group of like-minded individuals wishing to enhance their Health and Wellness. Please contact me for further details and costings.
